Often in past years, we’ve had a final April snowstorm hit, rather like a party guest, told “You’ve had enough,” who returns with his buds to trash the place (and wither the hopes of those who planted early).

This year, Buffalo’s getting our snow, and we’re getting lots and lots of rain, which we need really badly. (Perhaps I was not wise to water the milk jugs when it was so dry last week; now they might get too much water, and my squash seeds will rot again in mid-April, although not from planting them too early!)

No photo today, as I figure out what happened to my iPad’s ability to recharge.
