There are two back windows for the kitchen, and two days ago this spider set up at the right hand one, the same warm day that pollinators showed up in the garden. Last year a spider built a big web across the left one, and so I’m guessing this baby spider is her daughter. I don’t know why the right; maybe it catches more sun.

The kitchen windows give on a cul de sac; birds fly up to the window and don’t know which way to turn, so I’m thinking flying insects have the same flight pattern and and the same problem. So these windows are a niche; a very good place for a spider to be.

It’s a breezy day; the spider isn’t moving, but being moved by, the web in the wind. How human.
